as the end of the last semester of graduate school approaches i’m feeling rather uninspired and unable to devote time to search for beautiful ideas and things. however, i found this website in my bookmarks and am reminded that summer is just around the corner, and there will be many days to fly kites, make art, swim in the ocean, and take beautiful photographs.

Jillian Tamaki was approached by Penguin Books to create embroidery designs for the covers of three classics: The Secret Garden, Emma, and Black Beauty.
This definitely inspires me to get sewing again. I’m counting down the hours until my last semester of grad school is finished. The first thing I’ll do is pick up a needle and thread!
Jazmin Berakha is an inspirational embroidery artist. Her work is incredible. The colour palate and intricacy. Sometimes it’s easy to get stuck in a creative rut, but seeing work like this makes me want to try harder.
